Prime video quality

I use the Prime Video app for an xbox one and when I watch anything, the quality shows HD 1080p. That uses a lot of my data plan through my cable provider! I can't seem to find a way to reduce the quality so I can watch without using so much data. I've
looked into the settings on the app and there's no option for this. I've also looked on my amazon account and can only find how to lower quality on phones and my computer.

Tried this and unfortunately the option to change the quality isn't there. Also tried Amazon help and they were useless. Tried telling me to contact my service provider and having them cut back my speed. Ugh. May just have to cut back on my streaming from
Prime!

Seems to be no workaround! Going to have to cut back on streaming through the xbox and maybe go back to streaming from my laptop or phone. Amazon was no help at all with this. Hate having data caps on my internet service but nothing I can do about that
without spending more money!

Since most people want 1080 or as high quality as possible that may not be an option. Your best bet would be to try Chiefjoboo's advice or contact amazon. You could try changing the computer settings if that's an option. I'm not sure if it is though.

Hi,

You can follow ChiefJoboo guidance but its good chance you will have to contact Amazon since its their app. Microsoft doesn't control the output or settings of it.
