Primary Minecraft world corrupted - Bedrock Edition? Unable to Sync

I'm getting an error when trying to load my main Minecraft world. I believe I may have found a bug in Minecraft that led to this corruption and now I'm struggling to find a way to recover the many hours of my time that were spent exploring.

The error is: The world is not fully synced or has been corrupted. Try playing the world on a console where it's in a good state and try migrating it again.

I know there are other posts about this same issue and I tried posting on one of those and was told to create a new question. I have followed all of the recommended steps from the other posts:

Performed power cycle - did not resolve issue

Delete my profile from xbox and sign back in - did not resolve issue

Delete local save data from hard drive - did not resolve issue

Uninstall Minecraft and re-install = did not resolve issue

Reset and keep my games & apps = did not resolve issue

Reset and remove everything (and also sign back in to XBL account, re-install Minecraft again)= did not resolve issue

Contacted Mojang - but they indicate they are back-logged from the Holidays

Question: Is there any other hope at recovering this world? Any other steps I can try? The save game file still exists in the cloud - it is just not opening, so I have to believe there must be some ability to recover. The "Official Minecraft
Wiki" (https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Recover_corrupted_saved_world_data) seems to indicate that a world can be recovered on Bedrock edition but I don't have access to the file system to be able to copy level.dat to another save directory folder.

Many cloud services (especially those that are paid-for) have the ability to recover different versions of files based on a date/time-stamp. I'd be extremely surprised if Microsoft doesn't have this ability somewhere in their tool-belt and it would probably
make a nice addition to their Xbox Live Cloud services, for situations exactly like this. Struggling to see much benefit of a cloud backup if I'm unable to recover.

I would be very grateful if someone can help me recover the saved game.

Hi! You may want to try uninstalling the game, Then clearing local saved games and the MAC address before installing again.

Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with a corrupted game save for Minecraft. If you troubleshooted the console and the outcome is the same, unfortunately the save is not on the Xbox. I recommend to contact

I went through the recommended steps:

Uninstall game
Clear local saved game data (System->Storage->Clear local saved games)
Clear MAC address (network->Network settings->Advanced Settings->Alternate MAC Address->Clear
Reinstall game
Attempt to load game
There was a progress bar that was likely downloading the cloud file to the hard drive. Once that completed, I still get "Failed to Sync World Data" error.

You can use the Minecraft Realms standard or try the steps below first when transferring worlds.

In Minecraft (Bedrock Version), select the Sync Old Worlds button at the bottom of the worlds list in the Play menu. This finds any worlds on the device from the Minecraft: PS4 Edition and displays them below the button.

Select any of the worlds that are displayed to convert it to the Bedrock edition.

After conversion, the world will show up above the Sync Old Worlds button, along with the rest of your Bedrock worlds.

You can sync worlds from Minecraft: Xbox One Edition to Minecraft for Xbox One (bedrock edition) in game,
but you cannot sync the content across, as far as I know.
