Primary Alias on Xbox One

When my child first got the xbox one I used my email so that I could monitor any communications. Within a year or two, he started experimenting with changing the
primary so he had more freedom and deleted the primary account to add his own. Needless to say, he deleted my email account that I had for 21 years. I worked with Microsoft to salvage what history I could and had to get a new email address.
I was livid that I was unable to get my old address back so you can imagine my hesitation to change anything in xbox one. What he has now done is added aprimary alias email account for himself but it shows up when I email others and
my email address is still marked as primary. If I delete the "primary alias" he created will it affect my email account? Thanks for your assistance.

It may not allow you to delete the primary without adding a secondary; which would be his new email address.

Your primary alias will be the username you use to sign in to your account, the username that appears on your Windows 10 devices, and how you show up to recipients in email.

Xbox has family sharing features to stop unauthorized purchases etc. more info can be found here and may help you going forwards.

I think now i understand the problem of toxxicity.

You have set a mail adress of your provider as primary mail adress whith which one you are logging in at your Xbox or at xbox.com. Right?

The mail adress is the primary alias of the microsoft account and can be changed at

account.live.com .

You can create there a new alias adress and set it as your primary alias.

With this new primary alias you are able to log on at the Xbox One, xbox.com or other services of Microsoft.

The easiest way that I have always done this is to go to
http://account.live.com and add an alias to account. If you set the alias as a Primary Alias all emails from xbox will go to that new Primary Alias.

Thanks for the support message.

It sounds like you have forgotten the email to the Microsoft Account associated with your Kechis Xbox Profile. Please go to
support.xbox.com/contact-us to get that email recovered from Xbox Official Support. A Microsoft Account can only have one primary alias and the primary alias can NOT be the same primary alias
on another Microsoft Account.
