699.99 for 2TB

Scorpio price theories

Hey everyone I was just wondering what's the general consensus on price for the Scorpio among the community?

I personally am expecting the prices to be some in the £400-£500 region.

 

Thoughts, wants, rumors and predictions at E3?

I'd like the xbox scorpio to be slightly smaller and more sleeker than the original xbox 1 and for them to conirm a maximum price of US $599.

On youtube, sony fans are no longer talking about specs and resolution, only cause Microsofts scorpio specs will totally own ps4 pro specs. sony fans are now talking about games. imagine when ps5 comes out, theyll switch right back to specs and resolution.
while xbox fans will be able to shove specs at ps4 pro when it gets released. because sony fans have been on about console comparisons for years. theyll be getting karma when scorpio uploads...

I think blindman is pretty spot on with his predictions. I'll say the same especially after seeing goths sig. At first I was thinking there is no way it'll be more than €500 but now I do.

 

I am going to do what I did with the Xbox One and wait a year or two for a nice black Friday special. I don't plan on getting the Scorpio until I have a 4K TV and until games truly utilize its power and technology. But yea $599.99 seems like the right price.

 

Well those are just my predictions. Everyone is open to guess...

And I doubt it will be One Billion Cash... that is ... most likely wrong.

Also I used the Scorpio with its 299. 350 and 399 price as targets.

I think the 799.99 4TB SSHD is like today's Xbox One Elite

Just some guesses.

 

Think that's about right, maybe 549 ( base model ), going up to about 799 for more storage.

Anything much more for an entry level model, I think will price a lot of people out.

 

I would have to say that is a pretty solid prediction.

 

a 1TB SSD is about 250 dollars right now I think. by the time MS finishes production runs on the first wave of scorpios the price on a 4TB SSD will very likely have fallen to the point that MS will consider putting them in.

Comparing the new ELITE vs the old elite that has a 1TB SSHD.

 

Judging by the price of the PS4 Pro I think it'll start at the same price ($399). Maybe a bigger HDD version for $499.

 

Turn out it was 499. It was lower then I projected. And now a year later seems the X is a little to high for the market.

 

It might just be me, and a core following of friends, but thus far, I am unimpressed with XBOX and E3 contributions. The list follows;

1. XBOX-X - I just upgraded to the XBOX S and now they want to make another console for us to buy - no sale
2. Biggest event is backward compatibility? No thanks, I bought the XBOX ONE to play new games, not 360 games. If I wanted to play 360 games I would've kept the 360.
3. Game announcements at E3 - so far, not impressed - rehashing old titles - ***2 this, ***3, this, ***4 this - HOW ABOUT NEW GAMES ON NEW SUBJECTS - a good Star Trek game, a Warhammer game, a Civil War Shooter, etc.

Sorry to sound negative - but I am thinking about how Sony makes new games for play-ability - perhaps I may switch after all...

1. The 1 X is not a 1 S.

The difference in terms of graphic power between 1 S and 1 X is more than PS4 to PS4 Pro.

The 1 X on paper is more powerful than PS4 Pro.

The 1 X has 4K blueray playback. The PS4 Pro do not have 4k playback.

2. Backward compatibility is a feature. On PS4 you have to rebuy the game or sign up for PS Now Subscription.

For Consumer backwards compatibility is better.

This year announcement of backward compatibility is for the original Xbox.

Xbox 360 compatibility was available for public 11/15/2015.

3. Most recent Star Trek game is on VR for PS4 and PC publish by UBISOFT.

Most recent Warhammer game is Dawn of War III for PC publish by Sega.

Most recent civil war...I don't care about a civil war game.

Everyone make series Lord of the rings... hobbits... Matrix... Star Wars...

Just want to throw the facts and opinions out there. Sony does the same method of remaking the same game, for example Uncharted, Grand Turismo and MLB .

Though I have to say Nioh a reharsh of souls series and Ninja Gaiden is currently my game of the year.

Nothing wrong with being console agnostic. You get to play on the best and also play all the exclusives. Embrace the Freedom, don't become slave to the machine.
