Prey 2-The Time Has Come To Complete It!

If you're like me, you were really looking forward to the release of Prey 2. The original Prey (which I voted for becoming backwards compatible, and am waiting for at his moment!) was a hugely innovative and gripping game that I never tire of playing. 10
years later, and it still holds up perfectly. Prey 2 was going to be the continuation of this, with an open-world Blade Runner-esque style and an equally fascinating character to focus on. But of course, the ball was dropped when Human Head Studios' work was
scrapped by orders of Bethesda, who tried and failed to make it go in a different direction that was equally compelling. In the end, the game itself was cancelled.

But now the time has come to finish what was started! Microsoft, if you are reading this right now, you need to start talking with Bethesda about Prey 2. Either convince Bethesda to complete the game, make them sell the game back to Human Head so they can
pick up right where they left off, or buy it directly from Bethesda and have it finished as a Microsoft Studios game. Prey 2 is a game that deserves to be made and released, and it simply can't be allowed to stay in game purgatory. Plus, it would be a perfect
experience for the Xbox One, that will encourage more people to buy the console.

[/quote]I agree Prey is underrated but in no way does Prey make DS look like a chick flick. I mean come on, you even can't die in the game. There's no game over lol. What's scary about being invincible? DS 1 & 2 are the only games in a long time that
creeped me out. Prey is more of a sci-fi shooter, than a survival horror. On a different note I'm liking what I've been seeing on Prey 2 videos.

Of course it was cancelled. But it's a game that doesn't deserve to be. It can very easily be resurrected, and so we must implore Microsoft and Bethesda to take notice and do something.

 

I kind of get the feeling that Prey 2 has slipped into the realms of Duke Nukem-dom. What Human Head was doing with the game, they weren't doing well enough, because Bethesda said the quality wasn't up to snuff. It gets passed around a bit... other studios
can't do anything with the vision Human Head had. It's given back to Human Head... work continues... it's still not up to snuff...

The only difference is Duke Nukem had a rabid following not unlike the misty-eyed droves waiting for Half-life 3. Prey was more a cult hit with gamers... "Don't fear the reaper..." and I reckon if you asked the average gamer if they'd like a Prey 2. The
response would be, "What is Prey? I guess there was a Prey 1?"

I'd like to see a Prey 2 though. The first game had some cool moments and some mind-beindingly quirky gameplay. I think its lack of success at the time though was its set-pieces were almost identical to Quake 4's. [Which by virtue of being Quake... sold
way more.] Conveyor belt alien ship sequences of human harvest [Stroggification] and allies - or lovers - being transformed into hybrid enemies. Same engine, similar visuals, but a new IP instead of a strong existing brand.
