Previously purchased Xbox Gold game no longer available for free?

Last month Dead Space and Saints Row IV were available for free through Games with Gold on Xbox 360.

During the available time to purchase these games for free, I queued them up for download selecting the appropriate purchase options. Due to limited space on my hard drive I was not able to complete the download for either but left them in my queue.

There was an event going on in Defiance through mid-month in April, so once that was over I deleted defiance to make room for Dead Space. I was able to download this game fine in April, but had to cancel a few other games queued to get it back in the front
of the line.

I just finished beating Dead Space last night so I deleted this game from my hard drive and went to download Saints Row Iv (pinned to my account) and saw that it was showing a Charge for the full price for the game. I am confused why this is the case. I
have purchased several games with gold in the past with this approach, having them queued, removed when there is not room, and coming back to them months down the road once I have room to download again. I keep these games with gold pinned to my account to
come back to them.

Why is Saints Row now showing that I would be charged for a game I redeemed within the time period of it being free? Can this be corrected? I was looking forward to playing the game this month.

As of June 27th, 2016 Xbox Fitness has been discontinued and will no longer be available for purchase from the Store. If you previously purchased Xbox Fitness content, you will still be able to use it until June 30th, 2017. Starting July 1st, 2017, all Xbox
Fitness content will no longer be available to download and play. This includes purchased content.

Between June 27th, 2016 and December 15, 2016, Xbox Live Gold members will still be able to access and play over 30 workouts, which are available to download for free.

Are you redownloading them from your download history?

 

No, I was downloading it from the pinned list. I'll look at this tonight once I'm home. I am not familiar with the download history.

 

As long as the "purchase" went through, the games should be listed on your download history. Anytime you redownload something it's best to check their instead of the marketplace. Every now and then the marketplace just has a hiccup where it won't show you've
already purchased a game.

Okay, so I checked my download history through the Computer option provided in your link.

The most recent game on this list is Dead Space, but I know I queued the download because it began to download Saints Row right after I deleted Defiance and I had to delete the game from my storage/queue in order to have room to download Dead Space.

Do I have any other options to get this back or am I looking at having to pay if I want to play?

support.xbox.com/contact-us Otherwise, if it's not showing in your download history, then you would have to purchase it again.

 

I find it odd that it messed up on this one game, as I have been fairly religious in catching all the Games with Gold offers over the last two years, using this same approach.
