Previously purchased content removed from my download history?

Awhile back there was an app called 'Sales and Special' that offered discounts on games and DLC. I remember specifically purchasing the Call of Duty: World at War DLC through this app. However, the DLC does not show up in my download history.

I found an article that said the sale happened on the week of April 10th, 2012. I scroll to April 2012 in my Download History and there is no DLC related to Call of Duty: World at War.

Where did it go?

Not always. You are right that you can redownload content you've previously purchased for free at any time from your download history. However, in some cases content is completely removed from the marketplace, meaning the data is no longer there to download.
So you may run into a game or 2 that cannot be redownloaded.

 

DLC code invalid

This is because Turn 10 (the developer) has removed the content from the Marketplace, meaning it is only available for re-download (ie, by people who have already purchased/redeemed it previously).

The only way that you would be able to download this would be if Turn 10 were to put the content back on the Marketplace.

 

That's a great question, as I too have some missing Xbox Video purchases that just went missing. I contacted @xboxsupport on Twitter and they said they would investigate the matter

 

I had a profile I bought games and dlc for that game on and then it got banned. But when I made a new profile on the same Xbox the games I bought turned into trials? What happened

 

That would be a licensing issue. If you had ever switched consoles after purchasing the content, and never did a license transfer, then your console would not have the console license on it so you can't use it on your new account.

 

It is not a licensing issue, console switch issue, or banning issue. I have purchased loads of songs for Rock Band and other XBLA games in the past. Since the switch to actual currency my purchase history is now showing only about 30 items. I'd say Microsoft
f***ed up the transfer of download history to the new currency system. They probably won't ever admit it was their fault though. They already have issues tracking Rock Band songs purchased through the in-game market place. The market place leaves lots to
be desired in terms of purchase tracking, searching for new things, and just all around visuals.

 

ive had a similar problem i lost my full arcade game of battlestar glalactica and now only have a trial after i had to buy a new xbox and tranfered all games and licences but the bsg licence never transfered and i can only dl the trial version from the marketplace
there is no trace of my purchace of the full game of which i paid 800 ms pts for im well *** about it as its now delisted and i cant buy the full game anymore
