Previously owned Xbox games not available on my Desktop

I own a Xbox One and I had a lot of games on there, including add-ons. When I switched to desktop, the first thing I realised was that I didnt own any games on my microsoft account that I was using on my xbox. I used the same email from my xbox to my desktop, but now I dont own any games according to the xbox application. I want to play the games that I previously owned (some disk copies as well) without buying it again, just for a different port.

It turns out that in my billing history it did not mention any of those games, other than the forza horizon 4 game pass bundle, which is self explanatory. I greatly thank you for your time, aid and patience! Looks like the games were just with Game Pass, and pardon me for my ignorance, haha. This then clears the confusion here, and I thank you for that!

I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues finding your games.

To clarify, are you signed in to the Microsoft Store app with the same account you used on your Xbox One and the Xbox App for Windows? If you are not, please sign in and then reload your Xbox Library.

Please keep in mind that only digital copies of "Play Anywhere" games can be played on both console and PC using the same license, therefore, those would be the only games to show in the "My Library" section of the Xbox app on PC. If you'd like to know which games are part of the "Play Anywhere" program, please see:

Additionally, I'm afraid physical copies can't be played on PC, even if the game itself is part of the Play Anywhere program.

Glad to hear from you, and to answer your question, yes, I am signed in with the same account I used on my Xbox.

That is of utmost of misfortune, as I owned a lot of games there and can't see myself buying the same product again. Alas, If what you are saying is true, then I am missing a couple of "Xbox Play Anywhere" games and add-ons.

The ones I have missing are as follows:

Slime Rancher

Forza Horizon 5 (standard edition)

Forza Horizon 4 (standard edition)

These are all digital copies of the games I've owned.

I would like to have this further investigated, or I can propose to grant a license of a digital copy of these games.

as long as you are signed into the xbox app and store with the same account as your xbox then any digital games that are play anywhere (i.e forza horizon 4 and 5) will be available via the xbox app on the pc, any games that are not play anywhere will have to be purchased again and a lot of the games are not even available via the microsoft store on pc and only on others like steam, epic, origin etc etc.

Disc based games will not be available to use on pc full stop.
