Previously owned game and DLC not appearing on my account

Recently, I rebought Left 4 Dead 2 due to the backwards compatibility update. However, it is trying to make me repurchase all the DLC for it, as well as Left 4 Dead 1. These games and all their DLCs were purchased and played excessively a LONG time
ago. Now it says I don't own them and have to repurchase them.

If you previously owned the dlc for any BC game just go to the manage game option on your xbox one and the dlc will be in the ready to install section.

 

DLC previously owned but now not anymore

I only had one account registered on my Xbox 360 so it could only been entered into that account. A few days ago I contacted Microsoft support and I was told by the person on the phone that I did own the license for these DLC but for some reason unknown
to him I was unable to access it, another problem was that due to me being a preview member he wasn't able to fix it. I was told by the representative that he was not even able to open up a case (or something like that) due to being a preview member. I was
told by him to post about my problem in the preview forums.

I have posted over in the preview fourms and did not get a response from support. Is there a support chat for preview member that I could access? And if not, if I unenroll from the preview program would I be able to get my problem sorted about by normal
customer support?

Hi, TCN Kraken, having checked the compare achievements page, it states you have never played left 4 Dead or Left 4 Dead 2 on your current Xbox live account. Did you by any chance purchase the game and dlc with a different account?

 

I absolutely have achievements for both Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 on this Xbox account. This is the only Xbox account I've ever had.

 

It looks like you have your privacy settings turned on, which is why I can't see any achievements you have earned.

Have you checked the manage game section of Left 4 Dead 2, all dlc you own should show up in there. If they are there. Then just select them and start the install.

Sorry to hear about the issue. Couple things to look into. First, did you buy Left 4 Dead digitally or did you own a disc copy? You can check your
purchase history and see if you have purchased the licenses for the DLC and game if purchased digitally. Also, when you look at the
Xbox Store page, does it ask you to purchase the game or are you able to add it to your download queue from there? If it is asking you to purchase, this would indicate that you may not own
a digital license on this account.

When I launch Left 4 Dead 2, if I try to click to play DLC it even says I own, it tries to make me purchase it. I owned disc copies previously but all the DLC was digital. When I check my transaction history for this account, it doesn't even show half of
the things I've bought digitally on my Xbox account for some reason.

Does Xbox.com ask you to pay for the content you're inquiring about on the page Miss Bijoux linked? Use that link to locate the specific DLC you're trying to play under the Xbox 360 results and post back to let us know if it says 'Already purchased' or if
it is asking you to pay for the content.

That will help us out a bunch!

 

When looking at the content using that link, it either says "Bundle Only", which doesn't do anything if I click it or it tells me to purchase it. That's strange because I actually have the Left 4 Dead 1 content downloaded to my Xbox One.

 

See if the missing content shows on this page while logged in

The one Miss Bijoux gave a link to is pretty limited, doesn't include 360 store purchases and only goes back for me to Jan 2015.

 

If the Xbox 360 Marketplace page for Left 4 Dead is prompting you to purchase the game, or any of the specific Left 4 Dead 2 DLC's previously mentioned, that would indicate that the license is not associated to that account. Could you list each of the DLC's
you're trying to install apart from Left 4 Dead? That will help us understand the specific content you're trying to download, but it's still worth noting that this content may not be tied to your account.

It's every single piece of Left 4 Dead 2 DLC. At this point, I honestly don't care about Cold Stream, The Sacrifice, and The Passing. I just want to play the Left 4 Dead 1 maps on Left 4 Dead 2.

To clarify, the original Left 4 Dead Campaigns were

• No Mercy
• Death Toll
• Dead Air
• Blood Harvest

In order to play these Campaigns in Left 4 Dead 2. You're going to need a combination of DLC's

You'll need "The Sacrifice DLC" Which adds
No Mercy as well as The Sacrifice

And the "Cold Stream DLC" Which adds the rest of the Campaigns
Death Toll, Dead Air and Blood Harvest as well as
Crash Course and Cold Stream.

To further clarify, The Sacrifice was also released as DLC for the Original Left 4 Dead (Link to store: HERE),
so it's very possible that you own the DLC for Left 4 Dead 1 and not the DLC pack you need for Left 4 Dead 2.

HERE Is it asking you to purchase the content? If not, and it's asking you to purchase

HERE. We'll know that you have the DLC for Left 4 Dead 1, but not for Left 4 Dead 2.

The links to the Left 4 Dead 1 DLC you just posted said "Already Purchased". The links for the Left 4 Dead 2 DLC asked me to buy them again. We've gone full circle back to the problem of I used to own the Left 4 Dead 2 DLC but it's asking me to buy them
again.

But I do appreciate you clarifying the DLC's contents.
