    Preview Program Updates Cause Console to not recognize my ownership of digital games


    I already contacted customer support and was with them for about an hour. Eventually got told they'll contact me in 24 - 72 hours with an update on my issue. Last time this happened (roughly 2 weeks ago) I had to remove all content and factory restore my
    Xbox to get it to let me play anything. Just a warning to people using Preview Program updates.

    Digital games with Xbox preview

    Hopefully I posted this correctly (Prob not).Im in the Xbox preview program and I was wondering if I decided to leave the program, would I lose the digital games I purchased? Ive bought a lot of games while on the program before knowing there was a license
    issue that kept it from being interchangeable between preview and non-preview consoles. The reason I ask because I'm buying a new Xbox one s and don't want to put the preview on it. I really need help with this cause if I can't I'll lose hundreds of dollars

    Good find Haze. I never like the online pass program. althoughI'm not a fan of digital ownership either. I like my physical copies.

    I bought GTA 5 and it's not letting me play it or download it it says that I need to buy the game when I just bought it I called Microsoft and they said that they see that I purchased the game I think because I am part of the preview program

    Hey there xpert ninja19,

    What error message or error code are you currently seeing on the console? This could be directly related to the Xbox One review program.

    For example, right now if you purchase a game on a preview console using the new dashboard and are home sharing these games with another console that's not in the preview program. The purchase wouldn't be recognized until the update is made public.

    Forced Updates

    you are in the preview program, that means you have requestd to be sent a lot of updates to test them, updates that may also cause issues with your console, why did you ask to be in the program when you clearly don't like getting updates?

    Why not..............oh I don't know................try unsubscribing from the preview program? its not difficult, there is an option in the preview program sub menu, that way you'll only get updates once or twice a month at most, plus they wont cause issues
    with your console.

    Are you sure the disc game is working? Are you able to test it on another console?

    This might be caused by the game disc not being recognized since the game uses the disc to check for ownership.

    It didn't work I think it's got something to do with the preview program due to the latest update I got on my Xbox one that was sent with me being in the preview program that is causing the issue... My roommate doesn't have an issue on his Xbox one with

    Unless you're in the Preview Program. It appears that those participating, like myself, have been having issues where the external hard drive is no longer recognized since the latest update under the Preview Program.
