Preview Program/Skype usage

Hey everyone!

I'm having an issue using skype on my Xbox after I got the New Preview Dashboard update. Before the update, I could get a call, answer it, minimize skype and go back to playing my game. But now I won't get calls if I'm doing something other than being on
skype (meaning if I'm in game, a skype call won't show up as a notification), and if I get into a call, and minimize it and go back to playing my game, skype essentially crashes. I'm kind of at a loss here. Can anyone help?

Skype Crashing on Xbox One - Dec 26, 2015

The Skype App for Xbox one crashes when signing in to Skype.

The recent Skype app updated seemed to fail. Now when launching the Skype App, it will immediately close after launching.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and restarted the Xbox. After being reinstalled the app will launch and go through the setup. At the point where I sign in to my skype account, the app closes. Then the previous issue persists and Skype will launch
and then immediately close. It seems to occur at the point where the Skype app signs into my Skype account. The Skype account functions on all other devices.

I am currently a member of the preview program, OS version is 10.0.10586.1024

Anyone have a fix?

 

Black and white on preview program

After the Preview program windows 10 update on the Xbox one all of my personalisation details are gone it is black and white but colour everywhere else like in games and exectera but in some apps like skype it is also black and white

Head on over to the preview program support forums, and post up the issue there, as that is the place to go to report these kinds of issues

That would most likely mean that you don't have access to those forums. In which case we'll need to hold tight and wait for a support agent to come along, who'll be able to hook you up with access to those forums

I was told a few minutes ago that this "is a known issue, and is being looked into." I'm still not entirely sure what's going on, but if I could get into that Preview forum that you mentioned and report this there, it may clear up some of this confusion
I have.

 

I'd say it is probably being looked into, most issues happen to more then one person so are usually reported by one of them. So chances are that a fix is already in the pipelines

Also, in the meantime whilst you wait for a support team member to hook you up with access, you can actually report these problems through the console itself. When the issue occurs, hold down the xbox button on your controller, and go to "Report Problem"
and fill in the relevant details from there
