Preview Program: Media Player

For issues with NXOE please use the preview forums. As for things not working please check the known issues list on either your console through the preview app or on the forums in the update changelog

I wasn't aware the sent invitations for the media player app, to my knowledge if your part of the preview program you just insert a USB drive with media on it and you get the app automatically.

Sorry to hear about the issue with the Media Player. Are you a member of the Xbox One Preview Program by any chance? If so, I definitely suggest checking out the Xbox One Preview Program Forums. You can see if others are having the same issue and/or leave
feedback concerning the Media Player.

Additionally, which file format are you using? Please ensure that the files you are attempting to watch are files supported by the Media Player. Those types of files can be found

Sorry you're having issues with your media player after the NXOE Update. As this is a preview feature, the folks over in the early access forums would be the best to help with this. Head over to the link below, and re-post your question over there.


Xbox Preview Program Forums

Going by some people who posted in the preview program section who have the media player, as of right now, Music cannot be played in the background. In fact the Media app cannot even be snapped. Of course this is an early version of the app so hopefully
the final version will let us select music & then go to a game without the Music stopping.

So right now the media app preview will be good to watch video content but not so much for music multitasking.
