Preview Program Acceptance

Hello,

I contacted Microsoft support today, and was told to post here to get some help on this issue. I was invited to the Preview Program over 3 weeks ago, and told I was accepted, but I have received no messages from Microsoft regarding this. I was told that
if I post my issue here, that I could get a link, or some help getting a message with a link to the Preview app on the Xbox One? Thank you for any help you can provide!

Unfortunately the acceptance rate on the preview program has been severely reduced, the chance to be accepted is little to none. An invite to the program does not guarantee acceptance into it.

 

MazdaSkin,

Hang tight and wait for an Xbox Support member to chime in. They should be able to grant you access to the Preview Program Support and then you can create a topic in the Registration Support to get further assistance.

I also wanted to chime in here that an invitation to the preview program does not necessarily mean you will be accepted. Also, phone support has no access to tell who is or is not in the preview program so you may have been sent here in error.

As for the invitation, it has been noted by the Preview team that they have had such an increase in requests since E3 that they have put a temporary hold on adding more people but will do so in waves from time to time so please be sure to keep your eye on
your Live messages for more info.

Thank you for your response. And I can totally believe that they would have a huge influx in interest in the program since E3 with the announcement of backwards compatibility. That's one of the reasons why I wanted to join, definitely. When chatting with
support about a week after I was invited, I was specifically told that I was indeed accepted into the program, and to wait to receive the program agreement to sign. Talking to support today, they said that I apparently did sign the agreement, and since I wasn't
receiving any messages, that I should post here, so they can get me access to the specific Preview Program forums, and a Microsoft rep can send me the link, and get me the Preview app. Hopefully this method works, as I do not know what else to try

 

There's the rub. There are no documents to sign, either paper or digitally. It's all handled via your Live messages. Sorry you were misled.

I wanted to apologize, I went back to read the chat transcript again, and I didn't actually sign anything, but was told that I 'accepted' the agreement. So yes, I did not sign any kind of document, and didn't want to insinuate that I did. I just hope that
a Microsoft rep does see this so I can know for sure. If I'm not accepted, that's fine, I would just like to know, so I'm not constantly waiting to receive a message that will never come. If I am accepted, that's awesome. And I would again, just like to
know for sure, so I can take the proper steps to either get everything started with it, or not.

 

Hey, MazdaSkin! Onyx is right in that if you are invited, that does not mean you are accepted. You know when you are accepted once you get the Xbox Live message from the preview team. If you get that and get enrolled and still can't access the preview forums,
then please make a new post detailing what you're running into. Thanks for understanding.
