I think i saw the same thread you were on about and had hoped it would work.

Apparently you can do it by downloading the Insider app on that Xbox:

Normally only the person who enrolls in the insider program could unsubscribe from the insider program, as it is necessary for the member to use their credentials when requested. Anyway, what I can suggest you is to check the official article about the insider program, in it apart that simulates a similar situation, but as I said, it may still be necessary to use the old user credentials.
