Preview Member System Update Failed (E101)

My console was updating and it got stuck at 91%. I've chatted with 2 different Microsoft tech (I got disconnected with the first one).

They've told me to reboot the console (hold the Xbox button on the console for 5-10 seconds till it turns off, unplug the cord for 2 mins, turn the it on -power brick will turn white, then orange, then white again) and then continue the update download.

That failed (I was stuck at the green, logo screen for more than 20mins) and so I was told to do the Offline System Update.

They gave me the link, I followed through. I downloaded OSU1, tried it on my console and I got an Error Code E101.

If a Preview Member team could please contact me and help me on this problem, I'd appreciate it. It's not exactly easy to contact one compared to the normal Xbox members.

June update preview

I need an offline june preview update mine failed now keep getting an error tried the update files on the support site (E101 00000504 8B050041) and they don't work non of them. can someone send me the file please.

stuck in update loop

I am in the Xbox preview and my Xbox is set to auto update. It is currently stuck in an update loop and giving error E101 and E102.

I have tried hard resetting which fails, I have tried offline update OSU1, OSU2 and OSU3 along with the offline factory reset all of which fails.

System error: E101 00000504 8B050041

OS Version: 16299.3033

If the console is enrolled in a Insider preview OS, OSU1 (offline system update) cannot be used to restore the xbox console system files.

A factory reset is your only option other than getting the console repaired.

E101 generally points to a hardware fault with the console and requires repairing if a factory reset fails.

If the console is enrolled in a Insider preview OS, OSU1 (offline system update) cannot be used to restore the xbox console system files. It needs to be factory reset.

If using a wired ethernet cable connection, it must be disconnected from the console prior to attempting a Offline System Update.

E101 generally points to a hardware fault with the console and requires repairing if factory reset fails.

Support cannot help with self-repair.

They have already started sending system updates to preview members consoles once a preview period starts they wont add new members until the new update for preview is released next month.
