Preview Invites Sent (to me) But not received (By Me)

My Friend in the Xbox one Preview Program has now sent me an invitation 2 times and i have not received any type of message with the links as described or any messages at all on my Xbox One. Is there any Reason that i am failing to revive the invite or is
the system just bogged down after E3?

Xbox Preview Invite did not go through

I had one of my friends invite me to the preview program because I was interested into it. He sent me the invite ,but I never received it. I figured maybe something happen so I got another friend to invite me , same thing invite did not go through.
Is there anything I did where I can't get into the program?

I was sent an invite for the preview, but have not received an invite through a message. A support member from the online chat told me to post here. My reference number is [Mod Removed].

 

Have your friend send you a new message to test your messaging system on the console. If you do not receive it then you should check to see if you have any enforcement actions against your account at this link.

If you do receive the message then there's nothing wrong with the messaging system it's just that they have not sent the invite from the app yet.

 

When did you send them?? It does take some time to get "Approved" to get in program and right now they are probably getting flooded with people trying to get in

 

Both over 24 hours from time they were sent.

 

A friend of mine had sent me an invite too, and it took nearly two days for me to receive the invite from Xbox. I'm assuming the invite does not get sent directly from your friend, it's more like getting recommended to the preview program by your friend,
then Microsoft approves, and sends out the official invite.

 

Hello! If you friend sent you the invite, then they’ll submit your gamertag for inclusion and then Microsoft approves it. Once it’s been approved, you’ll need to download the Preview Program app and include your console in the program. It could be a few
days before you receive the software update that’s currently available to Preview Program members.

 

Another thing to remember is that just because you've been invited doesn't guarantee that you will be accepted into the program.

 

Wraith2058 I feel the same way. Some of my friends have tried to invite me to the program months ago to no avail. I recently got re invited to the program about 6 days ago and have yet to receive the message containing the link to the app. I would like to
know if I have even been accepted, let alone if the invites failed.

 

Thank you all for your input and help it finally came through 3 days later but it did come.

 

@spideyben there is no link to the app

If you are approved you will receive two codes one for the download and one for activation of the preview app

If you have been invitrded there is no garentee you are approved even invited

Its not an open beta where anyone can join

If you have enforcement action or violations of the nda or simply not in a beta region or somethijg else preventing you from being approvsd then you wont get approved as it is a limited beta

With betas things can go wrong hence why they want to limit thw possiblility lf bricking a console before the public release

 

It is a closed beta

They only allow a certain amount of beta testers

 

I was invited 2 weeks ago but I have not got the message from Xbox Live. What do I do?

 

Just to clear up a few things for everyone posting in this thread:

Someone inviting you doesn't necessarily guarantee you access (immediate or otherwise) into the Dashboard Preview Program.

According to the official FAQ it states:

How will I know if I've been selected?

You'll get a service message from us on your Xbox One. The message will include a link to download the Xbox Preview Dashboard app. You'll need to use the app to register your console for Preview updates.

Additionally, due to the announcement of backwards compatibility there has been a significant increase in the number of dashboard invites being sent; its possible that the system is inundated or there is not a need for additional preview members at this
time.

Unfortunately, I don't know the specifics that occur behind the scenes that determine eligibility to the program. My best suggestion would be to continue gaming and see if any of your other friends could also invite you.
