    Preview Beta update bricked my console...


    I had recently made a post about my Xbox not recognizing any local wifi area networks, and now it's not accessing wifi despite being plugged in with an otherness cable directly. Internet works fine across my entire household, and all devices are accessing the internet no problem (Smart lights, Alexa, Tvs, other consoles, phones), and indont know what to do. Xfinity hasn't a clue on how to help, and I'm getting really worried that my Series X is just bricked. I tried accessing the Insider Program app, in hopes that I could change the preview, however the app requires I be connected to the internet. I really am fearfully of factory resetting the console, but I'm afraid at this point I have no choice, and since I got the first Series X out if the shipment box from my store (former Gamestop employee), the system is definitely out of warranty.

    I will factory reset if I have to, but are there ANY other possible solutions?

    (Update) I factory reset the console, and its still not connecting to the internet...

    Has it been like it for a few days?

    There was an update that caused problems with the WIFI, if you are using wifi, unplug all USB devices , external drives AND kinect from the machine.

    I am having the same problems here what is going on? I am in the preview program what does it matter? My xbox is useless I've just had a replacement and still not working

    If you read carefully the posts above you may use the latest OSUDT version. As 1409 is not available of course because it's in beta state ;)

    After that you will be reprompted with the updates. If they fail again please post that problem in the preview forums where it belongs to.

    What error code are you getting if you get one, you are in the preview that's where you should post its about the only place that can help you, PM Miss Portia or one of the other xbox staff as you might need the offline update tool for previewers.

    Cmon this faulty update was already replaced eine days ago.

    And also this is still a preview program issue and has to be discussed in the preview forums and not here in the regular support forum.
