    Xbox runs fine until I start playing any game then it shuts off after 5 mins

    i would use caution on the compressed air. i used it to clear my 2008 model xbox of dust and then it started to overheat after that. I then read in the manual to Not Use Compressed Air.

    As a suggestion ,however, I set my xbox on rubber pads (kind of like those used for funiture legs to prevent sliding or scratching floors) to alow better air flow from the bottom air vents

    Xbox Overheating , Very Unusual?!

    As I can see your xbox is overheating. Im not sure but what I have heard that if your xbox overheats their might be thick dust on the fan preventing it from cooling it correctly or the holes that the xbox has for the air from the fan to escape might be
    blocked because if the air stays in to long the air will become hot. Or the simplest, that your xbox fan might be broken. If none of this works then yes you might want to take it to Microsoft so they can fix the problem.

    Ensure that the vents of the console is not blocked by any objects. As this will prevent the hot air being removed from the inside of the console.

    Don’t open it. That will prevent Microsoft from repairing it should that be necessary. Try using compressed air to blow ant dust and debris free.
