Presumably Minor Water Damage... Suggestions?

First off, never self repair... that voids all sorts of warranties, user agreements, and legal stuff.

Water damage can cause a whole slew of problems whether or not its direct or indirect. Everything is fine say if you spill something or its out in the rain for like a minute so long as you can get it dried off... but leaving it in a prolonged area to receive
damage is another story. The most likely issue is something like the power unit is fried from the water damage. When consoles are damaged they don't always show signs initially, so I can understand the confusion and anxiety.

Fill out the form for the repair and warranty on it at the link provided. Depending on the type of damage it may get waived and you'll be able to send it off and get it looked at for free. You could also try to take it to a physical Microsoft Store if there
is one near you and they have a person there who looks at that stuff.

If your Xbox isn't under warranty and have water damage>>>your best bet is to get a new one. You won't be able to take it to a Microsoft Store because of those 2 reasons. Now you might be able to take it to stores like Best Buy or Gamestop for a diagnostic
test on it more than likely they will tell you what you already know>>water damage.

That's just what the User Agreements and Warranties are referred to as. In business stuff like that is called "legal" paperwork because it outlines the things the company is legally allowed to tell you that you can and cannot do with their products. In
this instance you aren't technically allowed to self-repair a Microsoft product or you lose basically all agreed to rights provided to you for that product that are in all the product agreements.

There's nothing illegal about them making a self repair but Microsoft can deny the repair.
