    Preston will not follow me as a companion


    So basically I already took back the castle and even before this Preston wouldn't follow me because all he wanted to talk about was retaking the castle. So its been several months with different updates and he still won't follow me. I can talk to him and
    he might say "general" or something else but it won't let me be like "hey come travel with me." I was wondering if anyone else has this problem or knows how to fix it because its driving me crazy because I have refused to advance my game without him. More
    importantly if there is any solution to this problem on consoles that anyone has found yet?

    Preston Garvey won't follow after finishing the main story with BoS [Spoilers]

    Hi, I've finished the main storyline with BoS and now whenever I go back to Sanctuary Hills and I want to have Preston as a companion he repeats over and over about the Institute being destroyed and blaming me for killing all these scientists. Any fix for
    that?

    What did you become?

    "I don't think it "sees" Barbas as being a Companion Dog as normally you are only allowed one Follower and one Dog".

    Forced companion for the duration of a quest. Some dismiss others, but not all. Try getting a Companion to follow you as part of a quest while Serana/whoever is still with you.

    I watched giant bombs Skyrim quicklook, and they loaded an old save and went and killed Lydia (so yes she dies). The funny part is as soon as they left the house the courier came and gave them 300 gold coins as an inheritances from Lydia hahah.

    Incorrect. Not all companions/followers/whatever are marriage prospects.
