press X to see info?

While on my Xbox1 if I get a message or Achievement etc it pops up and says press X as in guide button to see details. Well when I do it either goes to shut off screen or back to dashboard. What am I doing wrong? I been meaning to ask this since launch but
it kept slipping my mind.

Miscellaneous quests don't have a 'where to go' pointer?

Press X to see the location too.

Press X to record

By default, it records that last 30 seconds when you use the Kinect ("Xbox record that") or use the X button on your controller. However, you can adjust how much gameplay time is captured in settings on your console.

You need to hold the button longer and it will take you to the achievements app.

instead of pressing X to play, press Y for game info. install to HDD, although if its not reading, you might have problems installing it

Redownload your profile.

Press the guide button in the center of the remote.

Press X to sign in/out (sign out then press x to bring up the sign in options.)

Go down to download profile

Sign in with your account info

Download your profile.

And try to play again.

Try installing the game from the marketplace. When it's in the disc tray press x to view info instead of a to play.
