    Can't redeem xbox gift card. typed it in multiple times. It knows the value cause it flashes on the screen but error message occurs before purchase can be made. Saying Prerequisite Profile Missing

    I am trying to redeem a $25 gift card, it knows that it is a gift card but when I press redeem it says PrerequisiteProfileMissing. PLS HELP!!!

    You can't. Once a gift card is redeemed, you can't reverse it.

    What does it say when you try to redeem it? Are you in the same region as the gift card you purchased...ie as it's a US $ card, are you in the United States? As gift cards in a different currency cannot be redeemed in a different region....I have a UK account and can't redeem US $ cards
