Why do you find it annoying?

  3. Well getting next to half the damage acting as a blue sentinel really messes with your play style, and this definitely happens.

Been working on getting my Covenants built up so I've been helping people with bosses.

3 of us about to step through the fog to the Dragon Armor and the host gets invaded.

3 of us turn around to see some red spirit with a little sword come charging up the steps diving into the midst of us.

3 very large weapons swung and 1 red faced spirit died before even getting a hit in.

    Wrong time to invade.

@ RedEye, I thought any level coop only works with password matching with every other part of online working with the 10 level requirements. Didn't realise it did the same for covenants.

  6. @ DigitalAssassin, This explains co-op better. I don't really do the password thing so it's less restrictive
    than my way.

Jolly Co-operation! When needed, players can summon one another to aid them in clearing an area, defeating a boss, or even fighting off evil phantoms.

This form of multiplayer can be started very simply. Purchase the White Sign Soapstone from the Shrine Handmaid. Go to an area you wish to help people, and use the stone to place your sign on the ground. Now
wait, and hopefully, you will get summoned into someone's world.

As a note, you can only summon people into your world when you are Kindled. This also applies to invasions, so if you want to avoid being invaded, simply don't use an Ember on yourself.

While helping someone, you will earn souls just like usual. You can't pick up any new items though, and some world items can't be interacted with either, like illusory walls.

Now, there are a couple restrictions. The first, you must be within roughly 10 levels of them, although this number does expand a bit over time. The second, your weapons must be of a similar upgrade level. This
means, you can't have some level 100, with +10 gear come into your world and annihilate the bosses for you.

Warning: The more phantoms you summon, the harder your game will become. Enemies and bosses gain more health when you summon someone, and considerably more health if you summon 2 or more people.

Of course, if you want to play with friends, there is an easier way then that. In the menus, you can set a password. Both you and your friend need to have a matching password. Once you do, place down your summon
sign. It will now be the only one that appears for your friends. The password system will also ignore the normal level restrictions, meaning you can help your friend no matter what level you are.

  7. Shigurui, I also thought this though I'm getting transported to help people who are either weaker or stronger and it's changes your stats temporarily. It's just a matter of getting used to it, I'm also on the Japanese ps4 server and not the xb1 U.S server.
However this will change, finished the J version last night and the English version is next on the xb1. Basically all versions share trophies on the ps4 so logically going for 1000gs would be a better idea, and frankly I can't see any difference in the 2 except
maybe a slight frame drop here and there.

As long as you make the proper sacrifices to your GOTHIC GODDESS.

I've heard from reliable sources that she can be a very bad girl at times. She may just stand and watch a boss slap a helpless victim in the face repeatedly while laughing... out loud.

  10. ^ That is disturbing, therefore I'll invade once I'm past souls level 1.

    I don't mind getting invaded.

It's part of the game... but it annoys me when you get double teamed.

Here is the best invasion ever:

I figured it worked on the A.I... maybe they'd be dumb enough to fall for it too.

    They didn't dissapoint.

@ Genchy, it's definitely more accessible but not necessarily easier. You'll find bonfires are much more abundant and upgrade materials for weapons are thrown at you for fun but it's still a Souls game so don't expect an easy ride by any means.

That is one way to confound invaders.

More amusingly is something like this:

Chameleon is another amusing one where you can take the form of inconspicuous game objects.

Will definately be doing the NG+ and ++.

Apparently you can take it to NG+10 before the enemies stop growing in strength as you raise it.

I still can't believe I've played a Souls game all the way through after barely denting the first 2.
