Prepaid gold cards

Hello i have a prepaid xbox live gold card (the ones you get from the shops) and i entered the code and it said that auto renewal was turned on, there was no way to turn it off and it said it wanted me to add my credit/debit card and its going to charge
me per year for auto renewel. i don't want to put my credit card in and i dont want auto renewel either so how do i turn it off? By the way i have had xbox live gold before but it ran out a few days ago and i never had this problem before.

Gold subscription does not except prepaid cards.edit

Not sure how in 2016, you don't use debit or credit cards but that's just me.

Anyway, could someone else confirm if using prepaid VISAs work or not? You could always go to gamestop or bestbuy, use your prepaid VISA card on a subscription xbox live card. That should work. Perhaps order a digital code on amazon with your prepaid VISA. I'm pretty sure they accept it.Click to expand...

I have used prepaid visa/mastercards in the past and they have worked. I never tried for a gold sub though because I would never pay full retail price for a gold sub

Will Xbox Live Gold Cards work with EA Access?

If i buy a year subscription of EA access, can I use them with Xbox Live gold cards? (Prepaid)

The prepaid gift cards can only be used to purchase content for the Xbox. Gold can only be purchased with a credit card/Paypal or by purchasing a prepaid gold card.

another question, if i want to buy a prepaid xbox live gold card, can i use the ASIA prepaid card, or i should buy the US xbox gold prepaid card..

McFly, we aren't talking about prepaid Gold cards, we're talking about prepaid debit cards. Prepaid debit cards are hit and miss.

You can't buy gold membership with prepaid cards. To purchase gold membership you should have a valid method of payment included in your account or you can buy a prepaid gold membership card.
