Prepaid Code not working

Hi guys,

I've brought a prepaid code for £15 xbox credit and i've tried redeeming it on both my xbox one and my laptop, but both times it says something went wrong and says to type in an error code into xbox support. Only problem is, there is no support code there
for me to type in?

Is there a known bit of downtime for xbox live services or is this an issue with my card?

Prepaid Code not working

Hi Bought 3 months xbox live code from game shop in uk, I've tried to input it on the xbox and now pc, And it wont allow it, I'm getting error,

Remeeming errors are usually caused by issues on the account itself. Be sure to check your billing information at
http://billing.microsoft.com and
http://account.microsoft.com/services for any outstanding amount issues. After that try redeeming the code on both xbox console and via xbox.com/redeemcode

Also check that account , console and code region's all match, using different regions will cause issues too.

If you can't find anything wrong and it is still not working, best thing to do is to contact official Xbox Support via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat at

There is a service alert at the moment so that could be affecting it -
support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status Try redeeming it again after that clears up. If it's still not working, you may need to contact support directly.
