Prepaid code error 0x80153005 but the content is still available

I'm trying to redeem some codes from a new copy of tomb raider GOTY edition. All the dlc is still on the marketplace but for some reason when I enter the code on my 360 it immediately tells me that the code isn't valid. On xbox.com after I enter the code,
it tells me what the code will give me then just says something went wrong. Could/should I contact support for this problem or is there any other way around this error? Also I do not owe any money to Microsoft so I am still able to redeem codes so that isn't
the issue.

DLC Codes Wont Work

For weeks now I cannot redeem DLC codes tried Microsoft chat for help but still no help I can add credit to my account using a prepaid code but any game DLC codes don’t work

Exactly the same code issue error 0x80153005 for my redeem codes on Far Cry: The Wild Expedition.

My Xbox 360 tells me the code isn't valid.

On Xbox.com, the codes are refering to the DLCs and when I click on "accept" > 0x80153005 and try again later.

I paid that game and can't download my content. I don't want to wait again and have thoses codes perempted.

Please, help Xbox support.

 

While it seems unlikely give that Tomb Raider was only released in 2013 (I assume you mean this and not Rise of the Tomb Raider) and Far Cry the Wild Expedition is fairly new as well, have you checked to see if there are expiration dates on your codes?

After a careful check, I can affirm that none of my activation codes included in my Far Cry: the wild expedition game have expiration dates. It's just stated "one time use only" without any further notice.

Codes are for Far Cry Classic / Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon and Far Cry 3 multiplayer Uplay passport.

Do you have any suggestions? I don't know what to do with it.

There are no expiration dates for my codes either and still no luck redeeming/getting the dlc.

But it still doesn't work. It appears the game my activation code should unlock IS available on Xbox Live, but it still doesn't work. I'm disappointed and bored of re-entering the same codes in the "redeem a code" section over and over again while can't
download the game I paid for and can't contact Xbox support over the phone.

I have almost the exact same problem as Rocrom Alpha, except that I was able to download Far Cry Classic. But my Far Cry 3 - Blood Dragon code won't redeem because of the same error.

Is there an update on this issue yet?

I am having the exact same problem with a Darksiders Collection. Code is supposed to unlock the season pass, but I get the same error code. Strange, since all of this content is still available.

 

Same, I have a code for the Aerith dlc that came with my Lightning Returns copy (which you can buy on the marketplace) and it says "Something went wrong" and tells me to try again later. I have been searching various recent post on this topic and it seems
like this has become a fairly common problem as of recently. Redeeming on my Xbox 360 console tells me that it is invalid, while the site acknowledges the code contents and only fails during the finalization step. Anyway, it has been giving me this error code
if anyone else can confirm that they are also getting the error code: Xbos-0x80153005. Searching the recommended fixes also does not help, since the solutions do not do anything to resolve this.

I reached the hotline TWICE over the phone, I'm from France so I got a french-speaking hotliner, but they have so poor french that they have trouble understanding me. It took me almost 3 minutes to have the guy on the other side spelling my email adress
correctly. 3 MINUTES !!!

He actually confirmed that the code is valid, and still unused. But I still can't download my games

Any ideas? This is really starting to be irritating, Xbox should be able to unlock content for us has WE PAID FOR THE GAMES.
