Prepaid Cards not Working.

Okay, I have 2 different situations here:

Situation 1: I purchased the Hearthfire DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for my girlfriend from GAME. When she went to redeem the code instead of it downloading the DLC she gets a window saying "This will add £5 into your account." yet there is no "Accept"
or confirmation button. All she can do is click "Cancel".

Situation 2: I purchased the Destiny DLC pass from GAME for my friend who lives up north. When he went to redeem code instead of downloading the DLC he gets a message saying "This will add £35 to your account." Now, this is where Situation 2 differs from the
first one: when we get past the message it says that the code is not meant for his region and that he should go to Settings and change his location.

Why is it doing this? Surely, because they're codes, they should be able to just download them because they have been paid for. If they cannot download them I'm going to be quite angry as that's £40 spent for nothing.

Not sure how in 2016, you don't use debit or credit cards but that's just me.

Anyway, could someone else confirm if using prepaid VISAs work or not? You could always go to gamestop or bestbuy, use your prepaid VISA card on a subscription xbox live card. That should work. Perhaps order a digital code on amazon with your prepaid VISA. I'm pretty sure they accept it.

Yeah it's legit. Though more and more companies are starting to accept them. Should be able to buy a pre-paid subscription card from a store and use it though, that won't require a credit/debit card on file.

 

As a previous employee of GAME, I recommended going back into the shop and making this situation known to them. Please note however that the fault does not fall on the guys/gals in the store - they put in a sku, and what is generated as a code is bounced
through various systems that are beyond their control. However, back-tracking a bit, you should probably try contacting Microsoft first, but you may well find they request you to go into the store regardless. Scroll down to the bottom of this page and press

Alot of times now when you purchase prepaid cards for DLC, all you are really getting is the funds to purchase that content. I don't think there is any error with that. As for the region issue with your friend, is he in a different region than the place
that you purchased the card? Has he changed his region settings to somewhere else? Prepaid cards are region locked so that is why he might not be able to redeem them. If his actual location and account region settings are both in the same region ans the
place where you purchased the cards then there is definitely something else wrong and you should talk to the retailer first.
