Prepaid 12 month Xbox Live Gold code stolen

Long and sad story.

One week ago, I bought a new Xbox One S (Minecraft edition) with a 12 month live prepaid code. After got home with it, I setup the console and tried to redeem the Live Gold prepaid code. I got an error: "Something went wrong. Give it another try..." I tried
to redeem my code countless times without any success, so I decided to contact the support via chat. I had to provide the code everytime for validation. I got following asnwers from the agents:

• Your code and account is ok. Try again later.
• Your code and account is ok. But there is an error on our side and the engineers are working on it. Try again later.
• Your code and account is ok. But there is a system maintenance. Try again later.
• Your code and account is ok. We can give you a new code if you prove you bought it.

After I proved the purchase I got a new code via email. Sadly I was not able to redeem it, got the same error as before. So I contacted the support via chat again. The answer was again:

• Your code and account is ok. Ttry again later.

Today I tried to redeem it again, but I got a different message. The code is already redeemed!

What? How it is possible? Asked from myself and immediately contacted the support via chat, because it wasn't me. I said to the agent the followings:

• I cannot redeem my code, because I got message which says it is already redeemed.
• I have only one Microsoft/Xbox account.
• Nobody else is using or has access to my console.
• Nobody else has access to my account.
• I have two-step verification turned on my account.
• I did not give my code to anybody, except the support agents (!).

They confirmed that my code was redeemed on a different account. I asked them to do something for example:

• Revoke/invalidate the code.
• Ask the account owner who redeemed my code to prove he/she bought it.

They refused to do it, because they can revoke the code if the subscription is cancelled. What?! I cannot do it, because of obvious reasons (I did not redeem the code and do not know who did it).

After that I asked them to escalate the issue to somebody who can investigate it. Request refused, because I need to know and provide the redeemer's gamertag. What?! How should I have that info?!

And we're stuck at this point. I paid for something and I'm not able to use it, and I cannot get real help from the support. I really do not know what to do to have a solution.

Basically the support suggested (with different words), accept the loss and move on. But I cannot do that. A 12 month subscription is not a cheap thing.

I'm starting to lose my trust in Microsoft and Xbox, but I'd like to give them another shot to solve this. Anybody have an idea what to do?

Prepaid Gold Live 12 months code error

My prepaid 12 months Xbox Live Gold code keeps getting an error. When will this be fixed??

Update: Today I've spent 4 more hours (!) chatting with the support without any result. It seems they're not willing to solve my problem.

Does somebody know where can I file an issue about prepaid code theft or account hacking?

There isn't a way to file an issue about a prepaid code in terms of theft. If you believe your account was hacked, the best thing to do would be to reach out to the chat or phone teams, which it sounds like you're already doing. Do you have any other profiles
on your console? If so, it's possible that one of those accounts may have redeemed the code accidentally.
