    Preordering games before they are announced on Gamepass


    I preordered a game prior to it being announced that it was releasing on Gamepass. I own Gamepass, therefore I just wasted $65 on something that should have been free to me (with a Gamepass subscription). Is there any way to get that money back?

    If the game has not been released yet, I believe you can cancel the preorder and you'll get your money back. However, if the game has been released you can get a refund as long as you have not played it for more than 2 hours and owned it for more than 14 days.

    In order to qualify, the games have to be preordered during the offer period which began on January 1. Since Halo Wars 2 was announced well before the offer began, your preorder would not be eligible.

    DVR HAS been announced. You don't HAVE to log on every 24 hours at all, only if you want to avoid updating before a game.
