Preordering and Preorder Bonuses on Xbox One's Games on Demand

Hello,

I would like to request a feature that I feel is missing and would be beneficial to all involved parties.

1. Why can't we preorder games on demand?

2. Why doesn't Microsoft offer the same type preorder bonuses to Games On Demand that Retailers and even the Microsoft store offers for physical copies?

I really want to digitally download my games, but I like preordering (the anticipation is fun), and I also hate missing out on preorder bonuses that most retailers offer.

Thief is a good example. I purchased the game digitally Day One, and I didn't get Bank Heist DLC or the Companion App on my phone that most retailers offered for preordering.

Microsoft, is this something you plan on doing? Would you plan on it?

Is there a difference between preordering from Xbox store and Microsoft store? I already preordered from Microsoft store and I don't see the preload on my Xbox. Also are the preorder bonuses different?

I know that I preordered the game and i saw that you get the preorder bonus and the elite pack bonuses and 3 days early but the 3 days early are for preordering it period. i hope this helps

 

I would also love this, i feel the same about digital content

 

It does seem like it shouldn't be hard for retailers to do a preorder for download codes instead of physical copies, which would then entitle you to the preorder bonuses, but I don't think they do that. I wonder why....

As to a "definite" answer to this, the Same-day Digital Availability FAQ on Xbox.com shows the following:

"Do I get LE and pre-order bonuses on digital editions of Xbox One games? (or – do I miss out on stuff if I buy digital?).

It will depend on the game – some games like CoD Ghosts have already announced digital versions of their LE with digital exclusive benefits. Other titles like Dead Rising 3 have announced that their channel wide pre-order incentives will come with the digital
version for the first 2 weeks. We will see more of these, but can’t guarantee parity in every case."

Reading that, it almost makes it sound like the preorder availability is up to the publisher/company, not necessarily to Xbox themselves. It looks like Dead Rising's example is the most logical solution. So, I think a lot of the heat here should fall on
the game creators for not allowing day-one digital purchasers to get the same content as physical pre-order buyers!

I had exactly the same thought and told microsoft once on the support hotline and once her in the community. The support guy said allsow it would be a nice idea. I meen Halo Masterchief edition with the preorder bonus halo 5 beta is a great thing but I hate
to stand up and change disks. So I can play Halo 4 on my xbox 360 and wait untill halo 5 comes out for xbox one. With the pre order bonus as a game on demand I can sell my xbox 360 and only use the xbox one to play Halo theirs nothing better in the world.
And you would save Money!!!!

I have a list of wanted features:

- NAS-Server support. or twonky server

- USB-Headset support for wireless Headsets as (logitech f540,g930,g35) (I bought an xo four and its like two steps back from my old headset)

- Hdmi-in support for PC (I don't know if its possible to remote controll your pc with the xo controller while hdmi pluged into xbox one) THAT WOULD BE A REAL step forward. But you can make an Smartglass integration of the pc with an server tool for pc
so you can controll it with smartglass. It's all windows so go and start to make the systems communicate to each other. Perhaps even controll your PC system with kinectv2 pluged into xbox.

It would be soooo great and would be a step forward.

 

perhaps I have to say I don't even use Television I even don't have a connection. Durring the Football Worldcup I used ZATTOO live TV and it worked great. So i can watch TV in Bad qually and if theirs an movie or an game i'd like to see I can use Zatoo and
buy an hd stream for 1 euro or something like that.

SO I have the hdmi-in port connected to my pc to get xbox one into an REAL multimedia device.
