Premium content is blocked for this profile even though it is an adult profile...

it says that I have to download the map packs from the in-game store but when I try to it comes up with a error message saying "premium content is blocked for this profile" even though I have my profile set to have no restrictions

you checked family settings and privacy for the child account ?

is this the xbox or xbox one S?

I have personally found that the privacy settings are not transferring over from the xbox one S ( xbox one is fine but may be corrupt ) to the 360 server account settings I have managed to get a work around.

please let me know which console it is

I'm sorry to see any frustrations! It depends on what map he's trying to download. If you sign out of his account on the console, do you still see that error?

I'm sorry to hear that. Have you checked if your Xbox live gold subscription is active and all your privacy settings are set to allowed? If everything is good there, here are the steps that you can try for your concern.

Solution 1. Power cycle your console

Please Turn off console > (press and hold power button for 10 seconds) unplug everything from the console > wait for 2 minutes and plug everything back > Turn On the console.

Solution 2.Try removing your account and add it back again.

To remove your account:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

To add it again:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Select Sign in.

Select Add & manage.

Select Add new.

Enter your Microsoft account email address and password.

Solution 3. Try to do a soft factory reset without removing any games and apps.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Settings > System > Console info > reset then keep my games and apps.

NOTE: This will delete the profiles on your account, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue. That's an error code we often see when the account in question is a child account. Is your account a child account? If so, the only way to obtain the content would be to have the parent account obtain the content on the
console and share using the home console program.
