    Premature Xbox License Transfer


    Hi,

    I was going to trade xbox(es?) with a classmate(he upgraded to Xbox One) so I could have more space on the hard drive and he'd use my 360 to watch movies on Netflix. The reason this may no longer happen is because I asked if I'd be able to download all my
    games and DLC. He said that I could transfer the license and proceeded to explain how. Well, while he was explaining I was on my Xbox following him along. Well I got to the license place and I accidently pressed the "A" button a second time and I transferred
    the license to my own console -_-

    It now reads: "You transfered your console licenses on 6/7/2014. You'll need to wait until 10/6/2014 to transfer again."

    Is there any way Microsoft could get the the license to reset? I've purchased Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Saints Row: The Third, Gears of War 3, NBA 2K14 and Trials Fusion. It's really tough with my current hard drive space because in
    order to change a game I have to delete then download whatever I want to play.

    Sorry to hear about the mistake but it should be fairly easy to solve. Contact phone support and explain the situation to them. They should be able to do a manual transfer for you. If they can it will take about a week or so for the transfer to go through.

    BTW, just so you know the Xbox One has Netflix so your friend could watch it on that console.

    Sorry, this is not possible to do. The use of the license transfer system in this way is not prohibited. A license transfer cannot be used to transfer one piece of content from one console to another. It transfers all licenses from one Xbox 360 to another Xbox
    360, not from one Xbox LIVE account to another Xbox LIVE account.

    The license transfer is the more-likely culprit. I bought a new xbox and had to transfer content and licenses, but I didn't do the license transfer on my wife's GT and she's getting the same message as you.

    Could be a licensing issue, try doing a license transfer on the Xbox 360 using the account that purchased the content. To do a license transfer goto settings - account - license transfer, then follow the instructions from there. Once you have done that
    go to your download history, and download the content to your Xbox, this is so the updated licenses will be installed on the Xbox so you can use them.
