The other day I found a Xbox 360 game that had been kept away for several years, I didn't even know I had it. So I wanted to play it again, but I don't have an Xbox 360 anymore, so I wanted to play it on a Xbox 360 emulator. I wanted to extract the contents
of the CD, but there were only a few files which added up to around 200 MB, when the actual size of the game should be like 7 GB, therefore I thought the CD was damaged. I tried to a few things like trying to restore the data of the CD and fixing it, but didn't
get anything out of that, it still showed the same files. I ended up throwing it, thought of pirating the game to see how to contents of the ISO was like and I found the same files, at that moment I felt so dumb and kept questioning myself as to why I threw
the CD. All I had to do was just create an ISO file from the CD, which I already did in Linux when I was trying to recover the files from it but deleted it, because when I viewed the contents of the ISO they showed the same files even though the ISO was 7
GB. And finally the question, should I keep the pirated version of the game even though it is illegal, but in my case where I owned the game and threw it like an idiot, is it OK? (Kind of a silly question)

    :)

Although throwing the original copy away was a bad idea, [because xbox one is dual compatible] you still have another copy, even though its illegal, it beats having to buy the same game again. Now with that said, xbox one offers dual compatibility, meaning
you van play xbox 360, and xbox one games with ease.

if the game is an original disc and listed on the backward compat list then install on the xbox one and enjoy, if not then nothing can be done unless you get a 360.

If a dodgy disc destroy it and buy a proper copy.

the xbox one will not use a pirated version of the game, the discs have protections on them, i would not even encourage this.

if the game you owned is on the backwards compat list then you have 2 options, buy the original legit disc again or buy it digitally.
