Pre-Owned Xbox One on the horizon.

Alright guys, first post on this forum, be nice

So I have the option to buy a pre owned day one Xbox One with BF4, Cod Ghosts & Fifa 14 for £400. Which is brilliant.

The only thing is they are all DL games rather than Disc, what is the cons of this?

I've heard that they solely belong to that Gamertag, and obviously i want to import mine on to the Xbox & remove his Gamertag, is this possible?

XBL 1 Month Trial - New Account, Pre-owned console

I was gifted my fathers pre-owned Xbox One, as he upgraded to the Xbox One X.

This is my first Xbox, so I created a new account, but from my understanding, due to the console being pre-owned, I do not get the offer of a 1 month free trail of XBL Gold. I am curious if I am eligible with my new account, on a pre-owned console.

Preowned games?

Strange thing is, on quite a few occasions I've been browsing in my local GAME store and I've seen pre-owned copies of games selling for more than the same game brand new.

The most recent one a month or so back was Forza Horizon 2, they had an offer on it for a new copy which was £34.99, a pre-owned copy was £39.99 lol

I actually asked the guy behind the counter and he said it was just how they were priced on their system but agreed it made no sense :/

 

Furthermore he has told me...

'it also has 12 months xbox live gold on it (about 10 months left on it) which will work with all and any new accounts on the console'

Is this true? Could them remaining months be migrated onto my account.

Well, I wouldn't get it from this guy since I believe this goes against the xbox live
ToU.

So, I personally would stay away from that even though it's an xbox it's still coming with an account that has ten months of gold on it.

 

I did think about that,but i am not sure it applies.

The downloaded games have license to the account as well as the console,so should be available to the OP`s account as part of the console license.

The 10 months gold time would also be available on secondary accounts too,as you only need one gold account per console.

He wouldn`t ever be using the original owners account.

That said, i may well be completely wrong,i don`t own an xbox one,that`s why i linked the support forums instead.

 

The games would be playable up untill the point the original owner perforrms a license transfer. Digital content should never effect the price of a preowned console as it can easily be removed after the sale
