    my brother gave me his copy of ghosts to play, installed it ok, two title screens flash up then it goes blank, does this mean that a pre owned copy of ghosts wont work on the xbox one or is it something else?

    If you bought it pre-owned, always try to clean a pre-owned game before playing it.

    I'm assuming it is but, the disc is for xbox one right? It's not an xbox 360 version of ghosts? You shouldn't have any trouble playing used xbox one games on your xbox one. Is the disc damaged or dirty?

    Did you fully install the game on your hard drive? If it isn't installed almost all the way, it will quit out. All Xbox One games require to be installed on the hard drive, and if it is the disc version the disc must be in the machine as well. Also, this
    is the troubleshooting/support forum for 360 games - you would have been better posting in the Xbox One games support forum which would have led to less confusion in getting you the correct answer for your issue.

    Yeah sorry posted on the wrong page silly me! The problem has been sorted now, i unplugged the xbox one for a minute or so then installed the game offline, that got the game going, then went online got and got the updates and its all working fine now which
    is nice! cheers!!

    Yeah sorry posted on the wrong page silly me! The problem has been sorted now, i unplugged the xbox one for a minute or so then installed the game offline, that got the game going, then went online got and got the updates and its all working fine now which
