Pre-orders and expiring xbox live currency..

hi, I have $120 xbox live currency that is expiring on 11/6 and I was wondering what would happen if I preorder halo:master chief collection NOW. It says that I will be charged now, but the game comes out 11/11 (5 days after my credit expires). Should
I just pre order it now and not be concerned?

Does Buying Xbox Currency and then Purchasing from Xbox Store still count towards Xbox Live Rewards?

If i was to purchase Xbox Live Currency from a 3rd party like Gamestop or Amazon, and then went online to purchase a digital version of a game will that count towards my Xbox live Rewards points? This is related to the promotion "Pre-Order Punch Card" Where
you pro order 3 games and get 15,000 rewards points, I have 2 pre orders but need one more.

Qualifying Content on my Account

Hello iTimeTravelWell,

As Smwutches says, game consumables and pre-orders are not eligible for MyVIP. Also, we only Reward purchases made in the regional currency of your Rewards Account region (CAD). Purchases made in a different regional currency are not eligible for Rewards.

If you get charged as soon as you pre order the game it should be payed for. Shouldn't have any issues with the soon expired credit as it would be used. If you still have concerns you could call support.

GameStop actually isn't letting you pre-order the game.

"This is a purchase of Xbox LIVE currency. You may redeem the currency for the content shown or for other."

By their own words, they're selling you Xbox Live currency today. You can use that currency however you wish, including towards the purchase of a digital version of Destiny
on its release date. That's hardly a pre-order.

No pre-order bonuses for me. But at least I'm saved from ordering through GameStop.

Odd, it's mentioned in both the standard pre-order and the gold edition pre-order for The Division.

Sorry for your trouble. Currency cards should not expire only the money that you receive from doing such things like Xbox Live Rewards or Bing Rewards will expire. Currency that your using from your own wallet shouldn't expire though.
