    Pre ordering on the xbox one dashboard


    I see people pre ordering Halo MCC on the dashboard and I was wondering if you still need the disk if you do that. I already got mine pre ordered at gamestop but I was just curious.

    Will everyone who pre-ordered eventually get the pre-order achievement (not the achievement that comes as a code in the Xbox One packaging, the one people got from pre-ordering through the dashboard)?

    Am I the only one preordering the Xbox One, JUST because of the exclusive achievement?

    I'm disappointed I missed the achievement for pre-ordering through the dashboard because I was pre-ordering anyway, I ended up using the MS Store website to pre-order. Did I do it for the Day One achievement? No. Am I happy there is an exclusive achievement?
    Hell yeah. I didn't pre-order the One for the achievement or the controller, I pre-ordered it cause I wanna play on day one.

    Pre orders on the Xbox dashboard are for the digital download version. No disc required. How it works is that if you pre order the game on the dashboard, it will pre download it, then allow you to play it from midnight the day
    of release.

    I did not order through the dashboard. I'm wondering if I will get the achievement anyway at some point? I mean, I pre-ordered my Xbox One BEFORE anyone could even pre-order on the 360 dashboard. I don't get why your most loyal customers will miss out a
    special achievement because they pre-ordered from the "wrong" place.

    As far as I'm aware of an exclusive Achievement is unlocked if you pre ordered the Xbox One through the dashboard only but pre ordering from the website will not give you the achievement.

    If you pre ordered the day one edition then a code to redeem will be supplied in-box. However this is a seperate achievement from the one you seem to be referring to.
