    Pre ordering a game to another user abroad, as a gift.


    Trying to pre order Mass Effect Legendary Edition as a gift for my brother, however he lives in Sweden. Tried multiple websites and can't suss it out, and on Xbox marketplace/Microsoft store the only options are for pre order to my own xbox account in digital form.

    Any help would be much appreciated

    Hi,

    Digital games are region locked so you can't gift them to users in other countries. The only way for your brother to get this game without using their own money would be to send them the funds to buy it via bank transfer or PayPal.

    Also, another workaround is buying an Xbox Gift Card to use in pre-ordering the game, WarCOMBAT27.

    It may be that not all games can be bought as a gift, or if it is a Pre-Order of a game you have pre-ordered for yourself, the gift option doesn't seem to appear until the release day has passed when it should show the gift option again.

    Absolute bollocks I've got go away working abroad Tomorrow AM!! I'm never pre ordering again!! Could have went and bought it by now!!!! Im in a good mind to just send it back
