Pre-ordered Cyberpunk for £59.99 and on release day it's £49.99!! What am I missing?

I know what you mean, sir. Steam is definitely awesome! On the other hand, $49.99 for a newly released Xbox game is actually considered, "cheap." (Noting the fact that normally, on release day, they are listed at $59.99). It's all a matter of perspective.

Hmm...just preordered for the $20 credit which will come in handy during this busy game season...however mine was $59.99 and release date shipping was $1. Still a good deal for the $20 credit coupon though.

There would be no difference despite the signs. You would still be paying the $59.99. Depending on where you pre-order you're essentially signing up to guarantee you will have the game on release day. So you will pay the full price of the game either now
or closer to release.

[/quote]it was while they were having a promotion. with pre-orders, they have one or two promotions, usually a discount coupon or sometimes free shipping. that day it was listed as $10 cheaper... i always check every week in the months before a game comes
out thats on my radar for good Amazon pre-order deals. but i think my $49.99 copy was a promotion price. just keep checking.
