Pre Order vs Post Release

Trying to understand why Pre-Orders do not apply to MyVip Rewards but purchasing after release does?

Latest Pre-Order Numbers

Forbes recently published a list of the top pre-ordered games for Xbox One and PS4. I have pre-ordered Watch Dogs (so sad that it got pushed back until Spring!!! Ugh!) and thinking about pre-ordering COD or Assassin's Creed IV. What about you guys? Do you usually pre-order or buy after it's released?

Rewards Mission not completing.

That page displays all purchases you make and marks them as "You pre-ordered" regardless of whether it was a pre-order or purchased post-release. Since your purchase of Skyrim was made after release and was not a pre-order, it was not eligible for a punch.

 

Basically because it's just per the terms and conditions.

 

Still doesn't make sense. Not only do we not get rewards but also lose out on any pre order benefits. Not to mention that recently not much actually qualifies in increasing your VIP rank.

 

Because you can cancel pre-orders anytime before the release date.

 

That actually is not a valid point since the pre order on demand missions can be cancelled anytime as well. I strongly believe that Pre-Orders should qualify.

 

Support has never given a valid reason why. The only reason they will give is that it's part of the terms and conditions.

 

I think it's weird too.

Recently preordered Destiny 2 and the (already) paid 100 euro's don't count towards MyVIP rank..

As Transfix said: If I don't preorder, I'll miss out on the pre order extra's.

Strange situation.

 

Yeah definitely makes no sense. I purchased Dirt 4 yesterday (minus all the pre-order goods) and it applies but 12 hrs earlier. Nope.

 

It's one of those things that don't make any sense whatsoever. I can understand holding on to pre-orders, but once the game is released and the order is complete then they should appluy that credit towards MyVip.
