Pre order refunds

since Monday I have had an account problems it started with one one game (ref 1294589282) since I was made to do all the tests my Xbox one will not sync any game other than battlefield hardline and Defence Grid 2 every other game won't sync won't load and
can't be played, so I want to cancel every pre order i have on the account digitally, it seems to be you have spend a lot of time online chatting with support to get anything done, and even then nothing gets done at all, I just want the things cancalled so
I can get rid of my Xbox one.

First read the ref number notes before replying and under no circumstances give me a phone number as they are useless to me, it would be a waste of both of our time.

How do you cancel digital game pre-orders?

They aren't saying to buy physical. They are saying why pre-order digital where there is the added risk of not being able to get a refund, because there is no refund policy in place? When you pre-order physical, you don't carry those risks because you can cancel the pre-order before or after the game launches.

Anyone else getting preorder refunds from Amazon or elsewhere?

I am going thru my email and I have 2 refunds from Amazon on my Xbox One games.
I got this same email for all the games I preordered thru Amazon, bring the game cost
down to only $48.99 each.

Reference numbers are only used by phone and chat support, so nobody here would be able to access that information. Forum support is also not able to issue refunds. So you will have to work with support either by phone or chat.

Just to add, there have been some reports of Spyro pre-ordered being refunded. So if you had pre-ordered with your Microsoft account balance, that could be the refund. You would just need to pre-order it again.

Since that one's still on pre-order, if you haven't been charged yet, you should be able to cancel the pre-order at http://account.microsoft.com and then purchase the correct version.

If you have been charged, you can try submitting a refund request, but since the pre-order was over 14 days ago, a refund is not guaranteed.

If you pre-ordered with a credit/debit card, then there won't be a refund, as you do not get charged for pre-orders until around 10 days before release of the game/DLC. If you pre-ordered with Microsoft credit, then you are charged straight away. You would have been refunded back in your Microsoft account if you paid with that.
