Pre-Order/ Pre-load Question

I haven't been on the forums in forever so I might be lost. I just have a quick question, I preordered ReCore from my Xbox One and it only downloaded something at 10MB. I know the game has to be bigger than that. To my knowledge ReCore was available for
preload but it obviously hasn't downloaded the whole game. Is this normal or is this a actual issue?

Also I received a email about my order from MS so I'm hoping it's not somehow going to be a physical copy.

The answer here is quite simple. The PSN is a pre-order, not a pre-load. On PSN you can only pre-load days before the game is released. On XB1 you can only pre-load/pre-order when there is a game to actually download. Meaning the game has gone "Gold." The
reason we can't pre-download right now is that the game is still not finished. Not ready to be put on discs and not ready to be put up on servers for pre-download. As soon as it is, the pre-load will be available.

Personally I prefer this to PSN's pre-order because at least you know the game is ready when you do it on XB1 but you could shell out that cash for the PSN version and the game and the game might miss it's release date and you have cash in limbo for no reason.
Pre-orders are stupid. XB1's pre-order/pre-loads are a breath of fresh air in an otherwise greedy game economy.

"Pre-order this game now from Gamestop, even though the game has no release date and won't be seen on shelves for over a year." . . . ridiculous.

That was in reference to the new Batman game btw, not GTA V

Pre-ordering is not available on the xbox store. This is a feature though that many people are asking for. Hopefully it will become available in a future update. You can post your feedback for that feature in the link below if you like.
