pre order perks for those of us who have gone towards digital downloads

I've been a loyal xbox user from the first gen day one. my question is this. why can't you pre order digital downloads and get the same perks as physical purchasers do instead of waiting 3-6 months to spend more money for the same thing

Buying 2nd digital copy as gift, does it count towards pre-order punches

If I pre-order a digital copy of SW Battlefront 2: Elite Edition for myself, can I also pre-order the digital Standard Edition as a gift? Will this second purchase count towards my Pre-Order Punchcard?

 

Would love a way to Pre-Order and download digital games.

Phantom, the problem isn't inventory, it's pre-order bonus materials.

For those of us that never plan to buy another disc and are only going digital, we still want the "extras" of pre-ordering, such as the exclusive pre-order only maps that both BF4 and COD are already advertising.

They EITHER need to let us "pre-order" a DL versions OR offer all pre-order bonus materials automatically to anyone that downloads on the release day.

 

Id give it abit of time am 99 percent sure this will come since ps4 has it

 

PS4 have the feature but the first game to implement it is Destiny in September

 

Yes, UK, MS is working on plans for preordering and preloading digital downloads. As to the preorder bonuses, i understand what you mean, but those are actually up to the developers and not MS themselves. Many developers are offering special bonuses for
digital downloaders, others offer the same bonuses for digital day-one purchases (some unlimited, some limited-time availability) as are available on their physical preorders.

Basically, the only outlet here is to complain to the developers and companies of individual games if you learn that their digital and day-one downloads do not offer equivalents to the pre-order bonuses. These details and more can be found here (pre order
