Pre order payment date

Hello, I would just make sure that the money is avail in account at all times. That way whenever they plan to take it it will be avail. If the money is not there when they try to take it I dont think they will come back and try again ;/

Unfortunately, split payment is not an option when it comes to pre-ordering a game. It is because pre-order payments are collected to the payment instrument used such as a card 7-10 business days before the games release date. This is if you will use a credit card/debit card.

And if you decided to use a gift card/wallet credit the full price will be collected from it because it will be charged automatically on the pre-order date.

I hope this answers your question as to why split payment isn't an option when pre-ordering a game.

Per the Pre-order FAQ, it depends on how you paid for the pre-order. If you used credit on your account, the payment is done immediately. If paying by credit card, the payment is done roughly 10 days prior to the game's release date.

For the Premium, Edition, payment would be taking on/around the 4th of September (10 days prior), as that's the release date noted on Xbox's page. If pre-ordering the regular edition, payment would be on/about September 19 as that is its release date.

Hi, digital pre orders paid for using your payment option won't be charged until ten days before release, as long as you add your new card as your payment option soon then your pre order shouldn't be affected as they charge the card that's in use on the
date the payment is taken.

Usually when you pre-order a game, Microsoft take the Payments 7-10 days before the release date
