Pre-order code for Rise of Iron gave me a gift card

Rise of Iron pre order

So I preordered rise of iron from GameStop, and all it gave me was a 30 dollar gift card and no rise of iron. What is up with this? I can't even buy the pre order

Destiny Rise of Iron issue

You can't pre-order. Gamestop pre-order is flat out false advertisement. I even got an email confirming my preorder... Got one today that said "rise of iron is available for download."

Went to redeem the code.. Got 30 dollar gift card. Cant use the gift card towards rise of iron. Won't be getting pre-order bonus items. Why is this practice OK?

It sounds like you were able to download it in-game? Some retailers' pre-order cards are just branded currency codes, so it's not unusual that this happens.

It sounds like all is working for you and that there's no problem here -- is that correct?

Try buying in Xbox Store and see if that works. Hopefully you'll be successful

I pre-ordered from gamestop. then got an email saying rise of iron was ready to download. so i clicked on th elin kand redeemed the code... and got a 30 dollar MS gift card that I cant even use towards the add on, plus you don't get any of the pre-order
bonuses because you didnt really pre-order... you just bought a gift card. Unreal. Why is this acceptable?
