Pre loading question

Discus and support Pre loading question in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; So on Xbox one the dashboard says the game is 18GB which isn't bad at all.     Pre loading question


    So on Xbox one the dashboard says the game is 18GB which isn't bad at all. But on other sites it says the game will need at least 40GB of hard drive space. So when you start the game will you have to download another 30GB of content? I'm confused.

    Good question..I pre downloaded the ghost edition and it was 18gb's...Maybe they know something everyone else doesn't...

    Maybe it's so that You're able to start playing as soon as servers launch on the 9th and there will be other content downloading in the background.. I hope that's the case.

    If you got to "games and apps" then down to "queue", click on it, you'll see it says everything for Destiny is "queued" which means it's ready for d/l. The 18gb d/l is to let you start playing the game while the other parts d/l and install. Pretty much like
    all the other games you d/l for xbox 1. It lets you start playing the game while the d/l finishes...

    More likely its not fully installed so the 18gigs is the compressed size and will finish install on the 9th.

    Plus there is a day one patch that will be getting installed. I think TOPP HATT is right in the installation of the game will continue when the game is released. We'll just have a head start.

    The servers will still overload and crash.... it's happened before. Most recently the Diablo 3 release

    Hey guys I found some info.... It looks like the 18 GB is actually the full game as of now. The 40gb I mentioned is a reserve for updates and future DLC. No one knows why the game is still stuck in queue. Some speculation on Bungie forums say it might be
    because you have to download an unlock key on the 9th.
