Pre-loading for Destiny on Xbox One has arrived

I hate that I'll have to wait until a few hours after midnight (since I'm dedicated to going all-digital), but I think I'll survive. I do agree with Bacon though - it seems kind of silly, IMO.

Apparently there was a short window where it was live but MS will announce when you can "officially" preload it soon.

 

Destiny Digital Guardian Edition: Do we get it?

Will the Xbox One get pre-order digital download early enough to enjoy pre-loading the Destiny Digital Guardian Edition or Does the One even get that edition? Wish I could be a part of the beta, but I am going digital on this one.

 

You can search the store and the versions are up, but looks like they pulled it for purchase in the UK not sure about other regions. Digital all the way for me, can't stand disks wish everything was digital, just sold all my blu rays and dvd's the
other day got nearly 200 quid, they are all on netflix or amazon now anyway.

I just went to purchase and download it and it's only giving me an option to "pin to home" with no option to purchase or download.

Is there something I'm doing wrong or is it the service, like with what f00 said?

 

From what i heard,Destiny went gold less than 48 hours ago,i guess it isn't ready yet to be pre download.

By the way from what i saw on the marketplace Destiny file size is 18 Gb.

 

Well, that can't be right. I was told it was supposed to be 40+ Gb in size. I'm confused. Somebody please explain. :|

 

Too bad it's not regarded as a pre-order, so we can get the $10 digital gift card.

I'll probably just keep my Gamestop pre-order. The difference could be only about an hour, to actually start playing it.

 

When i check on Xbox one marketplace,in the description,it's written Destiny file size 18Gb....

Maybe a mistake.

 

GG maybe they're only going to let you purchase half the game, then download the rest after midnight on the 9th.

oh come on guys, who ever downloaded an unencrypted or uncompressed install ? really.. !

it will be the size they can compress onto a blu ray for commercial sale + day one patch.

 

It's already been posted that Destiny's requirements list 40GB of hard drive space.

it showed up to purchase a few hours ago, but as soon as I clicked it, it failed. I can pin it for future purchase but no joy yet
