Pre-installed game shows wrong available date

We're seeing similar results on our end, we've passed this up to the appropriate team to fix and we'll keep you posted!

The game is not out for a couple more months. People probably won't be able to pre-load the actual game until a week or so before the release date.

I just searched for the game in the store, and had the option to install it. The file is only 100.8MB, which means it's a placeholder.

Edit - Even though I've installed the game, it doesn't show in my installed games or ready to install section.

When I go back to the store, it now shows "play." However, I get a prompt saying "something went wrong."

My answer is it's too soon. The pre-load hasn't even been officially announced yet

It only went live to be pre-installed by everyone else and available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users. Those users are allowed to play the game up to 4 days early. Everyone else can pre-install it but has to wait until its official release date which is
the 10th, as previously stated.

Promotions like this are actually very common.

Anybody know where to buy one or availability. E-Bay has them at over inflated prices , Game has no pre order stock or Microsoft store, but they are on e-bay with Game boxing showing before release date HOWS THIS lol.

Digital pre-ordering is not an available feature yet on the xbox one but could become available in a future update.

In order to play the Destiny beta you had to pre-order the game but you had to pre-order it by a certain date in order to get a code.
