Powerstar Golf News

I recently wrote the game developer Zoe Mode asking about future plans for the game and received a response this morning from Martin Newing, Senior Producer for Powerstar Golf. He said that Zoe Mode is currently in discussion with Microsoft over potential
plans for the game going forward but there currently were no details he could discuss. Encouraging but not definite.

The better news was this quote from Martin : "In the meantime though, we do have an update currently in test, which has a number of fixes, additions and general tweaks which will improve the overall game experience. We’re hoping for this to go live in the
next few weeks, so keep an eye out for it."

Sounds good so far. Hopefully the update will fix the issues that several of us here have communicated to them via email.

Posted some news about the game and an update in the regular Powerstar Golf thread under Xbox One games.

 

If it gets multiplayer it will be awesome...

 

It doesn't sound like the update desciption provided to Jayadub would cover something like online multiplayer, which I would say falls under the heading of a feature addition. I think this game would be a popular multiplayer game, based on what I'm reading
about it though!

I think multiplayer would be part of a the game going forward, as in PowerStar Golf 2.

 

...hmmmm, I guess I just assumed the future plans had already been discussed before the game was released. Never thought they would have these discussions afterwards.

Still, I have enjoyed playing the game, still trying to gold star all of the first course. Can't seem to get my timing right.

 

Having played most Computer Golf Games since Mean 18 was launched many many years ago, and having just bought my Xbox One at age 65, i have to say that Powerstar Golf is GREAT !!!!, once it gets Online Play it will be amazing...

I'll add you. I played Mean 18 on a couple of devices including an Apple IIGS. I loved playing that games representation of Pebble Beach. I also played Leaderboard on the C64 when it just had terrain and no scenery. That game eventually became Links and
then Links 2004 on Xbox.

 

I just read that PowerStar Golf is now on sale for $14.99. Maybe that will bring the user base up enough to justify some DLC? I still haven't made my XBox One/PS4 purchase decision yet, but if I go XBox One, this will be a day one purchase for sure, especially
at $14.99!

 

The sale is what got me to finally buy the game.

 

Have fun. Update coming tomorrow that will fix bugs and add more equipment to the game.

 

Did it fix the bug where players can get 800 ft drives for World Records?
