Powerstar Golf is Free

GG..... wait until it is free or discounted..... my opinion.

 

Just saying, it's a fun game and was worth the $20 imo

 

It's not really F2P, it's more Free 2 Try. You don't get to play a full course unless you buy that course, and you won't earn any achievements for anything you've done on a course you haven't purchased.

I actually grew somewhat fond of this method after the initial anger of not understanding what it meant with Killer Instinct. And the good thing is, they will not charge you more than $20 for the full game, even if you buy each course separately (if you
try this with KI, you end up paying more, because they do not offer a discount on the full game if you've already purchased 1 or more characters).

I'm definitely gonna give it a try.

 

Well, they're offering discounts on KI now, so I think I'm going to follow King's advice and wait for it to go on sale.

 

PSG will bea rough game at first.... you get 2 golfers... bad clubs... your drive is only 202 yards and you have no abilities... the game really shines later on when you can drive a constant 325+ and take short cuts across the map, nail chip ins from 140
yds... I would say.. if you are able purchase one course...get the first one.. city park... it is the easiest...

 

GG, just the Ultra Edition, and it is $20 off if you have already purchased the combo edition or whatever. Well, that costs you $20, so you're still paying the full price of $40 for the Ultra Edition.

 

Dragon, to my knowledge, Ultra Edition is on sale for 50% off from its full price ($40 bringing it down to $20); whether you already have Combo Edition is irrelevant to the sale (that is to say, it's $20 no matter what). The reason I mentioned both editions
is because the Combo Edition had a similar sale last week, which brought it down to $15 since it was 25% off.

 

No, GG, the 50% sale is only for people who already own the Combo Edition. If you don't have the Combo Edition, you only save $5 (12%). I understand waiting for a sale, but I like the idea of only spending $6 for a game I know I won't spend a lot of time
playing. Then, if I really do like the game, I can purchase the rest of the game for the original price.

With KI, after purchasing 1 character, if I decided I wanted the rest, I would still have to pay $20 for the whole thing, bringing total spent to $25. I think PowerStar's pricing strategy is an improvement over KI's.
